The anaesthesists at the Polyclinique du Parc de Cholet have an important role in four sectors of the hospital. Anaesthesia consultation room There are three consultation rooms and two waiting rooms. There are ten rooms in the operating theatre, each with the very latest anaesthesia delivery systems. One of the rooms is reserved for Caesarian sections. The anaesthetists are assisted by six nurses specially trained in anaesthesia techniques. Anaesthesia delivery system. Caesarian section room. One of the four birthing rooms. Four birthing rooms where epidural anaesthesics are available for giving birth; these three rooms are on the same level as, and have direct access to, the room for Caesarian section. It is situated next to the operating theatre, with its own specific equipment and personnel, under the responsibility of the anaesthetists. Recovery room. Monitors in the continuing care unit for the constant medical supervision of patients. This unit has eight beds; patients are under constant medical supervision.
