In France, an anaesthetist is trained to care for a patient before, during and after surgery: he/she is aware of the constraints imposed by the operation, the type of anaesthetic that is best suited to the patient and the general state of the patient, i.e. the different aspects of the patient’s general health (including the illness which requires surgery and other unconnected illnesses that may affect the surgery and the anaesthetic). The anaesthetist who takes charge of you at the Polyclinique du Parc will ensure your safety before, during and after surgery. Using the latest modern techniques the anaesthetist can carry out all types of anaesthetic: general, lumbar or thoracic epidural, plexus blocks and neuroleptic analgesia.
